Luck

I'd have no luck if I didn't have bad luck I think. My dang dryer went out today. The motor burned out right after I started a load drying. I got spoiled to doing laundry at home. Its just so much easier especially if the kids forget something in their rooms. At least its only for a couple of weeks. We'll be getting a new set and giving my Mom our washer since she needs one.

Bedtime Stories

We went and saw Bedtime Stories today. It was so funny and so good. Much better than I even expected and being an Adam Sandler movie I knew to expect funny at the least. Lucy Lawless shows up in a bit part but she punched it up and it wasn't so small as to not notice her. Gotta love a movie where it rains gum balls. It was a nice family time today. :)

Tuesday

Hubby made it home Saturday night about 9 p.m. It was a very short weekend for him. He should be home early Thursday morning this time. He snored all Saturday night so I didn't get much sleep and then Sunday night I had indigestion so not much sleep then either. Monday night I was in bed by 8 and dozing by 9. I had chills and a slight fever. Just enough to feel bad. I think I was just exhausted. Today is better. Thank goodness the kids are big enough now that I don't have to watch their every move. I try not to scare them when I feel bad since its almost always just them and I when I do get sick. I told them I was just tired from not sleeping this weekend. I want to look into the Red Cross and see if they offer a safety training class still. They did when I was a teenager but that was like 30 years ago. LOL. It wouldn't hurt them to learn the basics and I think they'd enjoy it too.

Friday, Friday, Friday!

I'm so glad its Friday. I went to meet up with an old friend yesterday and forgot to take my meds because I was so excited to finally get to see her. I've got to quit forgetting them. I already took them this morning so I'm good to go. I couldn't take them by the time I realized I forgot them because it was in the evening before it hit me that I was so tired because of that.

My friend is doing well. She has a huge family thing going on but I'm pretty sure she'll land on her feet. It's about time that she put herself first is all I'm going to say. Stay strong friend.

Hubby isn't going to be home til Sunday afternoon and goes right back out to work again on Monday morning so it'll be a fast weekend. I'm going to get this place cleaned back up (its not a mess though) so I don't have to do anything but pamper him as much as I can on Sunday.

Lazy Sunday

We're having a nice, lazy Sunday here. I went to Sam's and got a few things. The kids and Chris go back to school and work tomorrow. The kids have been out for Christmas vacation of course and Chris was off this past week from work for vacation. I'm looking forward to having my nice, quiet routine back.

Fun Day

I actually had a pretty fun day today. I got together with my two sisters and a couple of my youngest sisters friends and her MIL and we planned her baby shower. Then after that I had to go to the grocery store. I came home bushed but in a pretty good mood. I can't remember the last time I got to get out with the girls so to speak.

I just found out that my SIL on my husband's side is expecting again. She wants a boy this time. They'll name him Eric Alan if it is. No idea if they have a girls name picked out yet or not. She goes to the doctor on Jan. 6th to verify it. Best estimate so far is August 28th for the due date.

It's A Start

I've kept a couple of diaries in my life. Online and on paper. I guess I'm going to see how far I get with this one now. I always have the best intentions of keeping up with myself on one. I do have a recipe blog where I keep recipes I want to try on My Space but even it lags behind somewhat. So I'm going to give this a go and maybe I'll just keep up with it weekly if I can't do so daily.
